Behind the Scenes: Solutions Sessions
Camp directors are constantly plagued with the question:
“So what do you do the rest of the year?”
It takes ten months to build the program we run for the summers at Stomping Ground and those ten months are filled with meetings like this. We took feedback from summer staff and identified areas that needed improvement, restructuring, or just further discussion and decided to document the process.
This video will give you a deeper look into the behind the scenes of summer camp. We discuss our JC program, staff support, night programs, and time off. It feels good to pick at our systems with so many different perspectives. While we don’t solve every issue immediately, it’s important to understand the process behind it all. I’d be interested to hear thoughts and feedback on this content.
