As a camper advocate, you will help more kids get to camp this summer!
WHY
Camp matters! YOU believe that all kids deserve access to creative play focused learning spaces. At camp kids find belonging, learn critical decision making skills and have a chance to dream about their future and our world. Summer camp has traditionally been gatekept from folks who can’t afford it, and relying on community support allows us to open up those gates.
WHAT
In the 90s and early 2000s, indie and smaller-label bands relied on what they called ‘Street Teams’ to get out the word about their bands. That’s what we’re asking you to help us do! Our goal is to fully fund scholarships for 50 new kids that we’ll meet through our partnership programs and we need your help to do that.
Your goal is to help us fund just 2 of those camper scholarships. That’s $5000.
As a member of the Street Team, you have an opportunity to help campers from economically disadvantaged backgrounds get to camp this summer.
HOW
You know your network of friends, family, coworkers, and community best, so it’s up to you to decide how to get the word out. The people you’re going to ask probably know you a lot better than they know us, and we’re trusting you to speak on our behalf. We’ve collected some resources below to make it easier for you, like sample letters, branding guidelines, important links, and some of our favorite camp photos.
Still stuck? Here’s a few PEER TO PEER fundraising ideas:
• Host a dinner party and invite friends
• Make a video and share it on your socials
• Make a piece of art and auction it off
• Run a tournament
• Personalized letters and phone calls
