EXPANSION PROJECT - New Bathhouse and Village Ready for Summer 2024

In fall of 2023 we set out to expand camps infrastructure to serve more campers and make more impact. Here are some photos of the progress and construction.

THE FULL STORY: After a successful capital campaign including grassroots fundraising efforts paired with local philanthropists and foundations contributed we raised $400,000 make this dream a reality. The project includes building a new bathhouse facility and adding four additional cabins, thereby accommodating 160 more children each summer.

The support from our local foundations has been instrumental in making this expansion a reality, and we are deeply grateful for their belief in our mission to inspire the next generation of radically empathetic decision makers. This summer will mark our 4th summer providing an enriching, and inclusive environment for children to learn, grow, and create lasting memories.

Several local foundations supporting the project include the Dake/ Stewart's family Fund, the Christopher Dailey Foundation, Nordlys Foundation, Business for Good, Saratoga Children's Committee, and Charles Touhey Foundation, Curtis Lumber, and DA Collins/ Palette.

Construction is underway right now with the help of Kodiak Construction, Quality Star construction and the boundless generosity of time and energy of John Munter Sr.

The expansion project reflects Camp Stomping Ground's commitment to nurturing critical communication and decision-making skills among young participants. By immersing campers in a unique outdoor setting, the program encourages children from diverse backgrounds and identities to explore, create, invent, and imagine together.
