This blog post is a long way of me asking for your help.
First, I want to tell you how an amazing donor has committed to give Stomping Ground $25,000. The thing is they want Stomping Ground to be successful and we need your help. Their promise comes with an ask.
Can Stomping Ground increase our monthly giving clubs?
Here is the deal. If 25 individuals who aren’t already monthly donors join a giving club, then Stomping Ground will receive $25,000.
Below are all the details about why monthly giving matters and how you can get involved. The short version is monthly giving let’s Stomping Ground plan to do the work you believe in better. You let us proactively invite kids to camp that normally wouldn’t be able to come. You are giving us the green light to plan for the future and as my friend, Claire Schum (Burke), taught me at camp in 12th grade. Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance. Love you, Claire!

We have two monthly giving clubs, The Flying Squirrels and The Embers Circle.
THE EMBERS CIRCLE
The Embers Circle is a dedicated group of Stomping Ground supporters giving not only finances but also wisdom. The Embers Circle is full of compassionate sustaining members intent on making an impact though community giving. If the Flying Squirrels are like the outrageous activities at camp the Embers Circle is like a group chatting around the fire.

THE FLYING SQUIRRELS
In a nutshell the Flying Squirrels are a little rowdier bunch, mostly made up of 21-35ish year olds that love having a good time while they make an impact. Like camp, The Flying Squirrels go between high energy silly experience and sharing ideas, insights, and thoughtfulness in an effort to make Stomping Ground better.
Why Monthly Giving?
By committing to giving monthly to support Stomping Ground you are making it so we can be more proactive. The way things tend to work at organizations like a camp is that camps set aside money for a scholarship fund. Then families apply for aid and the camps make them fill out a bunch of paperwork testing them to see if they really need help.
I think that sucks.
What you make possible is for Stomping Ground to go to communities that we know are under-resourced and say, “We want to build an amazing camp experience with you and you can pay what you can because our community takes care of each other. Do you want to learn more?”
You make it possible for us to not sit back, but to act. To actively be building a camp not just for families with lots of money or families with little money, but for all families.

IMPACT
We can all agree that 2020 has been a terrible year for so many. For so many kids it has been awful. Schools canceled, being stuck inside, so little opportunity for connection, friends, or mentors.
Kids always need time to play, connect across differences, and know that people outside their family care about them. These are the things Stomping Ground does best, and these are exactly what have been taken from them this year.
Your gift makes sure ALL kids, not just some kids, can grow, play, and make mistakes together.
